Chapman House, who has over 38 years of successful addiction treatment for individuals, is a group of Behavioral Health Centers that provide medication-assisted drug and alcohol detox and treatment programs for adults and teenagers. At Chapman House, it is the primary goal to help individuals to shift from a drug-addicted life to one that is full of sobriety.
With a newly renovated campus, Chapman House aids in a full recovery process with medication-assisted detox, residential treatment center (RTC), intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) and even dual-diagnosis treatment. Also, new developments are being made and researched to provide the newest, latest addiction treatment care. The staff is highly trained and can create a customized treatment plan for each client to provide care for both emotional and physical needs.
Chapman House programs include residential detox which allows each client to feel safe and comfortable as they are monitored by a doctor while detoxing. A client will first be evaluated by staff and placed into a specialized detox program which is defined by things like withdrawal symptoms, type of drugs being used, medical history, etc. A client will then be monitored and prescribed any medication needed to help ease withdrawal symptoms.
A partial hospitalization (PHP) and outpatient services are available as well. PHP is a program that allows clients to be seen at least 5 days per week for 6 hours a day. Treatment includes CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), daily group sessions and one-on-one sessions with a psychologist. Outpatient services provide a way for clients to receive treatment without being admitted into a facility. This is helpful for clients to receive the treatment that is needed while still continuing to work and have time with their families. A residential treatment program, also called inpatient treatment is a more in-depth treatment program and typically lasts anywhere from 30-90 days. Clients who are in a residential treatment program will receive around the clock care and a variety of different therapies to find out where their addiction root is. Another program called IOP or Intensive Outpatient Treatment takes place three days a week for three hours a day. It is the first step to an aftercare program known as a support group, which becomes very important for continued sobriety.
Chapman House also offers dual diagnosis programs for patients who have been diagnosed with drug addiction and mental illness. Dual Diagnosis treatment covers severe anxiety, clinical depression, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), panic disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ADD (attention deficit disorder and obsessive-compulsive tendencies.
At Chapman House, a wide variety of different activities such as family days, sightseeing, beach trips, and hiking are all included in the treatment programs and a state-of-the-art gym is also included.
