Eating certain types of food will benefit it you in so many ways. There are a plethora of foods that will enhance your mood, reduce stress and anxiety.
According to one study, participants followed a Mediterranean diet for three weeks. Participants saw their depression “score” fall from the “moderate” range down to the “normal” range, and they reported lower levels of anxiety and stress.
Since incorporating a holistic approach to eating, I was able to manage my stress levels. My Diabetes has also been incredibly stable with an A1C of 6.5.

Salmon

Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 and protein. This oily fish will help improve your mood and increase brain health. Better brain health equals healthier mental health. It also promotes a type of mood enhancer called tryptophan. This then releases serotonin which promotes better mood
Spinach

My absolute favorite, this leafy green vegetable is pact with benefits. Spinach is loaded with vitamin k, manganese, folate, iron and vitamin B. Having at least 4 cups of spinach a day will keep the doctor away. If you do not like to eat spinach plain, you can add it to a smoothie or sauteed spinach. Sauteed spinach includes olive oil and minced garlic.
Blueberries

This fruit is high in vitamin K, C, and manganese. If you are looking for a boost to your brain and lower cortisol levels, definitely add this into your daily diet. Blueberries are loaded with anitoxidants and can be eaten plain or with a smoothie. My favorite is adding them to a green smoothie.
Avacado

Only the best of the best. It is highly nutritious containing vitamins k, b, e, and c. This fruit can be used as a spread on toast. Add it to your smoothie and your day is charged up and ready to go. Avacados protect your brain, heart and eyes. Protection of the brain will aid in your mental health support
Walnuts

Last but not least, Walnuts! This snack is packed with rich nutrients such as vitamin c, b, and e. It also contains a lot of iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Since this nut has a great source of omega-3, it will enhance your mood if incorporated into your diet each day.
